NEWS and vital signs monitoring – Virtual training session – December training dates

This session will be led by Rachel Binks, Nurse Consultant – Acute and Digital Care, Airedale NHS Foundation Trust. This session will last approximately 1 hour and is available on the following dates:

13th 2.30pm-3.30pm
16th 11am-12noon
21st 1pm- 2pm

Training is aimed at nurses and care staff and the objectives are:

  • To understand the National Early Warning Score (NEWS) and how to use it
  • To understand which vital signs are useful in assessing a resident’s health
  • To understand how to monitor vital signs – blood pressure, heart rate, saturations, respiratory rate, conscious level and temperature.
